Since that earthquake a decade ago, Haiti has faced many challenges.  Recently, with the significant political turmoil in Haiti, Vision Nouvelle has had to temporarily close its doors.  Teachers continue to try to teach their students using Whats App when electricity and cell coverage is functional.  Some students work with Yvrose here in Canada by sending her videos of themselves playing their instrument and she sends back tips and suggestions.  The challenges the students and families of Vision Nouvelle face are monumental as they continue to try to keep music learning alive.  Many families struggle for the immediate needs of food and shelter over music lessons at this difficult time.
